It's a....GIRL!!

The much anticipated anatomy ultrasound day.  An excerpt from my pregnancy journal:

6/2/14 - 18 weeks 1 day:
It's a GIRL!!!  We were shocked.  I still can't believe it! Reid was able to come with me to the anatomy scan.  We were anxious to find out the gender, but I was honestly more curious about the location of the placenta.  I figured it was still complete previa since I'm still bleeding.  I was right. It is still covering my cervix by 1.6cm. I think it needs to be 2cm away from the os to have a vaginal delivery.  So still a ways to go.  Baby girl looked great. The u/s tech was very friendly and explained everything as she went along.  One of my favorites was seeing her little foot with toes.  She was pretty active the whole time. It was so fun to see her moving around. We left there with a bunch of pictures and a CD with digital copies.  The tech didn't mention that anything looked abnormal, so we left happy and so glad she's healthy.  We brought home some princess cupcakes to share the news with the boys.   They were funny.  They had been hoping for another brother, but have seemed to warm up to the idea of a baby sister.  Shauna & Cody & Lucas are here for the week to help us out.  We shared the news with family and friends, who all shared their excitement for us to finally have a girl join our family.

I immediately envisioned mother-daughter dates, painting nails, bows, and glitter, and all things girly.  A baby girl to dote on, and dress in all the adorable girl clothes.  A daughter to come with me to the Women's Conferences, go to Girls Camp, get ears pierced, talk about boys, etc. etc.  A daughter for Reid to have a special bond with, to protect and encourage, like my dad has done for me.

A Daughter!
