Reid went to Las Vegas for business this whole week. He was FORCED to eat delicious dinners every night. :) I was definitely jealous of the food he got to eat! To make me feel better, I got Chinese food one day from the food truck in Deaver. Haha. Luckily, it hasn't ever made me sick, so I still consume it. It's the only Asian food for miles. It's no PF Changs, or Panda Express, but it usually satisfies my Asian food craving for awhile.
Jack came home from school with this cute Journal entry:
Translation: Yesterday my obedient Dad left home to go to another state, that I forgot what the state was called, so I was sad.
I sent Clark and Jack to school on foot. Lucky for them, a sweet friend saw them and gave them a ride the rest of the way so they weren't late. Since Reid was out of town, I knew I couldn't just wait for him to get home to take care of it, so I decided to try my hand in changing this flat. I've seen it done a few times, and have been taught a couple times, but never actually done it myself. I looked up my Owner's Manual, and a YouTube video, and got to work. It was nice and sunny out, which made it so much more pleasant than it could have been.
Here's proof that I got the spare on! Such a cute little donut of a tire. Haha. I felt like Superwoman.
I took the little boys with me to Powell (driving slowly for that little donut) to get new rear tires. And since we were in Powell, we had to stop at McD's for lunch. :D I never cared for McDonald's growing up, or even in college. Somewhere along the line though, I became a fan. I LOVE Big Macs. Mmmm that special sauce and shredded lettuce get me every time. It's totally a guilty pleasure. One of those things that you just don't even care what it's made of.
We had some excellent sunny afternoons this week. Rhett had a blast out front of our house with his trucks and Little Tykes car. He'd load up big rocks and transport them from one spot to another.

I had some girlfriends over for some much needed girl time Thursday night. We had a smorgasbord of treats and snacks set out on the counter, along with some carrot sticks lol, and had a blast just chatting and laughing our heads off. It was just what I needed after being a single mom for the week.
Friday, the kids didn't have school so we went to the school playground to play in the sun.
Saturday, Clark had "tryouts" for the Minors little league season. He's never played baseball, since we always did Spring Soccer in Oregon, so I am a little nervous for him to join in with these kids that have played since T-ball. I'm sure he'll do fine and catch on quick.
Thankfully, Reid came home Saturday evening. These boys love to fight over my lap during scripture time.

haha...you and your carrots! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou are superwoman!!! I'm totally impressed you changed that tire! It is no fun when the hubby is gone. I'm glad you survived!
ReplyDeleteYou rock! Can you please post a you tube tutorial on changing tires? I never paid attention in Relief Society or YW activities. haha.
