Reid left early (3am) Monday morning for ANOTHER business trip. This week he was in a tiny town in Texas. Quite the difference coming from Vegas. He really doesn't travel very often, just happened to have 2 trips right in a row. I would not be a happy mama if this were a normal occurrence. I don't know how you ladies with traveling husbands do it! I was at the end of my rope by the middle of this week. I felt so bad for my poor kiddos, who took the brunt of it. I felt like an awful mom. I was so glad to have Reid back on Friday night. :D
I forgot to mention in my last post that I had kept Connor home from preschool a few days last week because he had a fever. I finally sent him back to school on Thursday, but his teacher called me to come get him since he was coughing so bad. So frustrating! That is one of the hardest things to know...when do you send your kid back to school? Coughs can last forever. Welp, I kept Connor home again Monday, and we went to the doctor. Rhett had the same symptoms so thought I'd have him checked too, just to rule out any infections or bronchitis. The doctor looked them over and determined that they aren't contagious, but just have lingering coughs from colds. I made him give me a doctor's note for Connor to return to school, so I could reassure his teacher that he's ok. Lol.

Clark started basketball games this week. He had 3 games! He's having a blast. He really likes basketball. He's not so great at offense, but he's a great defender. He assures me that we need to get concrete and a basketball hoop at home so he can practice. (We still just have a gravel driveway).

With sick kids and basketball, we didn't really do a whole lot. We have "kid" dinners every night while Reid's gone. Which, is probably the only perk to him being gone. :)
I snuggled this little guy as much as I could.
Saturday night, Reid and I went out for a much needed date. We ate yummy Mexican food and saw Divergent. I really liked the movie! What did you think of it?

LOVED Divergent!! We had a great date night seeing it too. Sorry you've been doing sickville alone.....with a partner is hard enough!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the books but haven't seen the movie yet. Date nights are the best, especially when you've been apart for a while.
