Where does the time go?




Baby Jack is 6 months old! The stats from his check up are in...
Weight: 17 lbs 15 oz (60%)
Length: 29 in. (off the chart)
Here's what he's up to these days:
  • sitting up unsupported - until he sees something he wants and dives for it

  • squealing SO loud - when he's happy, or sad

  • laughing hysterically at Clark's craziness

  • holding his bottle by himself

  • scooting! aaah, not ready for the mobility. he manages to turn himself around 360 degrees, and gets a scoot in every once in a while. he gets up on all fours, then lunges himself forward, or else he does a one arm army crawl. he also likes to chill like a model laying on his side with his upper body off the ground.

Things that melt my heart:

  • his ear-to-ear grin when I walk into the room

  • how he looks into my eyes and coos

  • how he touches my face with his soft little hand
  • how he giggles in delight when I tickle him

  • feeling such incredible love while holding him close

  • how he calms down when I sing to him

  • how peaceful he looks as he sleeps

    Holy smokes; he is tall!

    To think we gave birth on the same day! Although Jack weighed in 2 lbs heavier than Kate, he is sure growing good and like a weed.

    I was impressed when Kate was 27.3 inches long (which is the 91 %) but her weight is only 14 lbs 6 oz (which is the 18%); hopefully some solid foods will help her gain some weight! It doesn't look like Jack has a problem with weight . . .which is always good!

    I love all the new things they do at this age, but it really makes me sad at the same time.

    I can totally relate with the things that melt your heart. These kids grow up too fast. Hopefully someday Madelyn and Jack can meet!

    You are right, they grow in a snap. Britton is almost 15 months. Jack is adorable, what a sweet boy. I bet Clark is an awesome big bro. (p.s my older kids still melt my heart.)

    Wow the times flies when it isn't your kid- I bet it's even faster when they are! He's super cute. Watch yourself- you'll be cleaning twice the spills, markers, etc. soon!!! ;)

    Jack is truly getting so big and so darn cute! He is a sweet little guy, as is his older brother. I seriously love your boys! It is crazy how quickly they grow up, which is the reason Jeff thinks I will never be done wanting more kids. That new- born phase is just over so fast.
