I just need to document this while it's all fresh in my mind...
In the past 2 weeks (since we've been home from our trip) Clark has been incredibly mischievous and curious. So for all of you who have mentioned to me in the past that Clark is so well-behaved, this is for you. Here is a small list of what he has "accomplished":
- Purple eyeshadow and brown blush mashed into the carpet (keep in mind our carpets are cream colored). He put some eyeliner on himself by his eyes even.
- Chocolate milk poured into his new garbage truck...while it was on the couch...then drove the garbage truck back and forth through the puddles.
- Chocolate milk trail dripped along the carpet from the living room to the stairs. He carried his garbage truck to the stairs to tell me he had made a mess...at least he's accountable?
- A beautiful rainbow of all colors of marker on the couch.
- Cut up a whole package of gum and a piece of bread into tiny pieces with scissors. (managed to not cut himself).
- Pulled all the muffin tin liners out of a new package and sprawled them all over the floor.
- Colored with black SHARPIE all over my kitchen cupboards!
- Pulled my purse down and dumped it out twice...which led to brown lipstick drawn on the carpet.
Whew! No wonder I haven't posted in a while. I am happy to say that thanks to microfiber couches, soap & water, rubbing alcohol, the fabulous Magic Eraser, and chocolate ice cream - everything has been restored.
p.s. I got a new calling...1st counselor in the primary presidency - i think it's gonna be my eternal calling (i was in the primary presidency in my last ward as well). I love it, and I'm excited!

I just can't believe that sweet little innocent face could do all that damage. You are amazing to get all the damage out. I love the pic. of Clark on the 1st snow fall. Love Phyllis
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that my children probably wouldn't have survived after all that craziness! You are a better woman than I am for not duct-taping him to a chair. I am impressed however with his ability to put eye-liner on. What a little goober!
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome Kristen! My kids love my makeup too, but they haven't managed to do much more than smear it on their faces. Although Nora tried some stunt with her dad's razor last week and managed to cut her lips...not sure what was going through her mind. Anyway, your boys are so cute!
ReplyDeleteyou took the words out of my mouth, oh boy. you are scaring me to death! Although I think I'm safe from the make up thing, Aiden has never seen me put it on. :) I'm very impressed that you got rid of his disasters.
ReplyDeleteOH MY!! That is hilarious! I can't believe he managed to do so much. My favorite is the chocolate milk and truck, very creative! You are a good mom. I would have never been able to keep my cool or let Riley live to do it again! :) Just kidding. I just haven't seen what a boy can do, girls are just so well behaved...hahaha.
ReplyDeleteYour title says it all. Wow. That is so horrible and funny at the same time. I'll have to call you in the future for tips on getting things out. Oh, and congrats on your new calling. Isn't it funny how callings tend to follow you from ward to ward? I'm really hoping that's not the case with my cub scout calling...
ReplyDeletewow.....I have to agree with Alissa, you are definitely a better woman, I think I would have chained Keegan up after that! I'm so glad you got everything out, what a relief! You must be teaching Clark pretty well, I'm impressed he got that eyeliner so neatly by his eye!
ReplyDeleteoh kristen! of course he decides to start the "curious" phase in your brand new house! ya know, my mom made a book of pictures for my younger brother to document the messes he made....it was pretty funny! once we came downstairs on a saturday morning to find him on the countertops. He had dumped the canisters of flour, sugars (on the carpeted floor) and thrown all the plastic cups and bowls from the cabinets! LOVE BOYS!
ReplyDeleteHe is lucky he is still alive! Thanks for sharing! It makes every Mom's day to hear that every other child is pretty much the same.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the calling. I know how you feel. I have been in the primary 4 out of the 5 years that Jeff and I have been married. You are great with kids! Enjoy!
Holy cow. Thanks for making Josh and I so eager to have kids! :)
ReplyDeleteKristen, hi! isn't crazy how fast they can get into trouble. It was great to see you and your darling family. we love and miss you.
ReplyDeleteNo, not Clark! I just don't see him doing all those things! Are you sure it was him??? I got my pink goo the other day, I will definetely be sending some your way!
ReplyDeleteholy cow!!! I am TERRIFIED of Ethan growing up and doing all of this. :GULP:
