The House Tour

So, out-of-state friends, *ahem* Danielle, have been pestering me for pics of our house here in Wyoming ever since we moved.

I've put together a bit of a picture tour for ya.  We still have a lot we want to do in terms of decorating and making it our own, but it's starting to slowly come together.  I have commitment issues when it comes to decorating and I've played musical rugs and curtains more times than I care to admit.  Ha.

View from across the street.  We have neighbors on both the right & left sides.  Check out that blue sky!

 Front door & cutie pie.

View out front left from the driveway. That is our city garbage "can" on the left. Everyone has one of these dumpsters - everything goes in there and they pick it up every 2 weeks.

View from the front porch on a stormy day. A big meadow with a couple goats, some sheep, and a miniature mule (the kids love it!), then you can see our closest front neighbors.

View from inside front door into the dining area.

To the right is the living room. (Don't usually have folding chairs out).  We are planning to get new couches for this room - it's on the list! I think once we pick out couches, I'll have a better vision, but I just can't get this room to look how I want it! It's been my nemesis since we moved in.  Curtains have been a pain.  The coloring is off in the pic, but the walls are tan, curtains are gold, chair is peach (and on its way to a different room). This room has been the cause of the musical rugs/curtains.  :)
To the left, hallway to 3 bedrooms & bathroom.

Main floor bathroom.  I like the texture of the wall, and the ceiling is cool too.

  Guest room.

Master bedroom (before our stuff was in...). Check out the paintings on the wall. The previous owner was an artist.

Master - before we got Central Air. :)

Not pictured: Rhett's room.  He's always been asleep when I've taken pics of the house.

View into kitchen from hallway.

View from dining area to desk.

View from dining to entry way.  You can see more painting on the wall up there.  Not sure if we'll keep it or not...

Kitchen - want to add a valance for the window.

Straight ahead is stairs to the basement.  Doorway to the left takes you to the mudroom.

Mudroom, view from garage door.  Back door goes to the backyard, hallway & big closet to the right. The wall color isn't quite as bad as it looks in the pic, but it's still orange and I loathe it. Gonna be painting soon!  I have also have visions of a nice bench/hooks/cabinetry there on the left.

Hallway off mudroom.

1st door on the right is the pantry.  Love the walk-in hugeness. (boys love rearranging things in here)

Door straight ahead is gonna be a library of sorts.  For now, it's got random decorating things that I haven't decided what to do with and 2 bookcases. Planning to paint and put some comfy seating - I'd love a nice sound system in there too.  A place to zen out.  :)

Door to the left is technically a bedroom, but we're using it as an office/sewing room. Needs some love and attention too.  It has 3 windows which is nice to let the beautiful sunshine in!

 Let's go downstairs.

Here we go!

Oh, hey Connor!  We're using this as a playroom right now.  Door up there to the right is the laundry room, then a bathroom and 3 bedrooms.  Clark, Jack, & Connor sleep down here.  They love it.  We love it.  It's awesome.

View from the hallway when we were moving in.  We are keeping most of the toys in that space under the stairs.  The door to the theater room is down there to the left.

Theater room - view from the raised portion where we put the couch. Not a great pic...

Laundry room (obviously not a real time photo).  The current state is pretty bad, so let's just use this pic so you can actually see it.  :)  I love having a sink in there, and counter & storage.  I'm planning to add some shelving & a hanging rod.

And finally, the left side of the backyard with Clark mowing.

Right side of the backyard.  No neighbors behind us, just the rodeo grounds & wilderness.

And, the view last night. :)

Congrats on making it through.  Now, you can come visit!
