I don't get offended anymore when someone tells me I look like I'm gonna pop.
Cuz, it's true, and I'm okay with that.
I hit 38 weeks yesterday (Fri), and I'm on the home stretch. I have an OB appt. on Monday morning. She's gonna "check" me, and then we will set a timeline & make a plan for this baby to make his grand entrance. I honestly would like him to wait until after the 4th of July, and all the hoopla. BUT...with Jack I had to wait until 41 weeks before I was induced, and that was too long, so I would like him not to wait past my due date (July 10th).
If I had my way, I'd choose 07/08/09. Wouldn't that be a cool birthday?
I think so.
I realize I'm not in charge of that though.
We did some much needed deep cleaning today. I'm nesting big time. I still have a list of things I want to get done before the baby comes. I still need to pack for the hospital. Can't forget to load up my bag with snacks for when the nurse isn't looking.

Thanks to some awesome friends, Reid and I were able to take an overnight trip to Seattle last weekend. Sans kiddos. It was awesome! Even though it was short, it was much needed. We stayed at a hotel close to the water of the Puget Sound, walked along the pier at sunset (well, Reid walked, I waddled), and had a delicious fish dinner. Very romantic if I do say so myself. The uninterrupted quality time was priceless - even 9 months prego. Sorry, no pictures...I left my camera in my bag and decided to just enjoy the memories as they happened, instead of trying to document it all.

you really are ALL BELLY Kristen-skinny everywhere else.
ReplyDeleteLUCKY!
I never thought about it before but that is a cool b-day to have with the 7/8/09 combo. Well, maybe you'll get lucky! I'm just hoping for the 7/11/09 slurpee combo. :)
Okay, you look so cute. You do look like your going to pop... but honestly the rest of you is tiny! I LOVE your pictures this time, So FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I want him to have the 789 birthday too. Now that is AWESOME.
Glad you got a good trip in before #3. I'm counting on you giving me all the juicy details of how to do 3. (when that time comes...be careful what you say...it might never come ;) haha)
I love your belly photos! You go straight out and then when you deliver them you don't even look like you were prego - not fair!
ReplyDeleteAnd good for you guys for getting out! I wish I had the guts to do that.
You know, if you stood the two of us side by side... well, regardless, I think you look fabulous! And you will look great after the baby comes too. I'll cross my fingers for 789. Shoot, maybe I can have mine the same day. Wishful thinking, I know. Glad you got a trip in before this one.
ReplyDeleteyou're getting so close! how exciting. and i agree with danielle, you look dang skinny all around...i mean, that baby has to be somewhere, right?:)
ReplyDeleteYou look so great! I will hope for 07/08/09 as well, that would be awesome. He would never forget his birthday! I am so glad you got a few days away, it is much needed. Best of luck these next few weeks!
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny!!! You should post a behind picture cause I'm sure that from the back, you don't even look pregnant! And definetely agree with you on the date 7/8/09 - I am obsessed with numbers and that would be awesome!!! I am so sad I'm not going to be there to meet #3...
ReplyDeleteYou have the best attitude about your little baby!!! :) He'll come just when he should... and you might just be surprised if you've been thinking about the date that much, he might just come then!!! I got myself really ready to be ok with Baby Chomp coming a week or even two "late" because I know it's all sooo relative... and she came on her "due" date. Too funny!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice vacation! I'm sure that helped you in sooo many ways!
I didn't forget about mailing you something... I'm just trying to grow my brain back faster than slower!!! :)
Love that belly!!! You are beautiful! I can't wait to see pics of baby boy #3!! Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to get some alone time with Reid before the craziness begins.
