So, this week was great. On Monday, I ran 4 miles, which is the farthest I had ever gone in my whole life. I tried the bike out on Tuesday...quads burning + hard seat = owie. Wednesday I ran 4 miles again - woohoo! Thursday was a bummer day. The soreness in my legs from the bike caught up to me, and I only ran 2.5 miles, walking the rest of the time. I was a little disappointed, I must admit. Today........I RAN 5 MILES! Kristy broke her PR too running 5.5 miles. Way to go Krist! I am just flabbergasted. Honestly, I never thought I'd ever say that I had gone that far. We had extra time today because Reid took the day off, so I didn't have to leave the gym as early.
Our holiday traveling is gonna make working out dificult. But I REALLY don't want to lose the habit. Any suggestions for keeping it up while I'm in Utah? Any of you Utahns have gym memberships, or work out rooms at your apartment complexes and want to work out with me over the holidays? :) Email me, or post a comment.

AMAZING!! I am so proud of you guys, that is really awesome! As for over the holidays.... I don't really have any personal tips, but Zach's mom always walks up and down the stairs at their house with hand weights and does a pilates video. At least you can do a little something, even if you aren't putting us all to shame with your amazing running skills!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! You can go over to my in-laws, they have a tred mill in the basement, with a tv you can watch while you run. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat! Good for you guys! I bet you feel just wonderful! I need to follow your lead and start doing something on a regular basis! You guys are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm still so amazed with your performance today. Right when my feet hit that belt I thought for sure it was a 3.5 day...this is going to sound cheesy but I've taken this endurance into other aspects of my life. When I feel like closing my scriptures, I think of 'going that extra mile'and read a little longer, when I want to do the minimum for my husband or baby, I think I can do this ONE more thing...etc...I have been able to set new pr's in lots of areas in my life. Thanks for the motivation!I feel better inside and out!

ReplyDeleteYou are looking great! Train for a marathon! The Salt Lake Marathon was soooo fun and rewarding all at the same time. I am sure you can do it.
ReplyDeleteSuggestions on keeping up the habit; continue to get up early, and run the streets (or walk them) and don't feel bad you are missing time away from friends and family! Congrats and way to go!
Send me an email when you are coming in maybe we can get together! It's been since your wedding!
Yea! I'm so impressed! I still don't feel good enough to start working off my baby weight. Luckily, some of it is coming off on its own. But, I always feel inspired when I hear your progress! Keep it up!
ReplyDeletekristen!!! if you are coming to utah, i will totally walk/jog with your around the track of the RB in the evening or morning. that would be sweet! and we can catch up since it's been too long since i was in oregon...email me when you are coming and maybe we can work something out.
ReplyDeleteTHe Orem rec center will let you in for about $3 a visit- I think you get even better deals if you buy a week or a month. They have super upgraded since we were kiddies- there are a lot of treadmills and an indoor track!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Kristen! It would be great to see you when you are in town, but I am sure you will be busy with family and all so no pressure.
