So, my insurance/doctor's group has this policy that they don't induce before 41 weeks unless "medically necessary." I tried to think of things that would make me qualify for a pre-41-week induction, but to no avail. I'm perfectly healthy, my baby has been perfectly healthy (which I am very grateful for, really).
We got the great news that I am finally going to be induced. Yay! I'm supposed to go in at midnight tonight....midnight. Oh boy. I'm in for an all-nighter. The reason for it being at midnight and not sooner is because I will be 41 weeks at 12:01am - and that magically qualifies me to be induced. I think it's kinda funny, but I'm not complaining - i was originally scheduled for Friday, and soooo happy I was able to get it moved up. Even if it is in the middle of the night.
We're so excited to finally meet our little guy. We'll keep you posted - hopefully by the morning we'll have him in our arms. :D
