Clark started Kindergarten!
Jack started Preschool!
Connor started walking!
Ok, so those might be a big deal. I've been lazy about getting pictures up. Moms are busy, you know. We have been loving the weather. We play outside with the neighbors just about every afternoon. Our little dead-end street is hopping with kids.
Clark loves school. He gets up early, and gets ready by himself. He packs what he can in his lunch box, and makes his own breakfast. He has a lot of friends in Kindergarten too, so it's always a party walking to and from school. He likes to ride his scooter when I let him. I was nervous about having all-day Kindergarten, but he is doing great. (and I am actually loving it too). Jack has stepped up as my helper at home. It is crazy to me that now there is a part of Clark's life that I'm just not a part of. I have to admit, I did get a little emotional dropping him off the first day. So many MiXeD eMoTiOnS.
Soccer season started last month. It makes our nights seem very busy. Clark has a blast though. He makes friends so easily. Jack likes to cheer "Go Clark, Go Clark", and "Go Red Hot Lava!" (their team name).
Jack is in a preschool Co-Op, like Clark was. I taught the first 3 weeks, and am looking forward to the break. I don't teach again until February. *yay* I really enjoy it though. The kids are so excited, and the curriculum is awesome. It has so many fun things for them to learn and do. We had our first field trip to the zoo. It happened to be the one rainy day of several beautiful sunny days. In Oregon, you just learn to enjoy rainy days too. We donned our rain boots and rain jackets, splashed in puddles, and had a grand ol' time.
Connor, oh, Connor. Where to begin? He is 10 days shy of 15 months. Life changes so fast for these little guys. He's finally using walking as his preferred method of transportation. It took him until 14 1/2 months to really have the desire. Clark & Jack were both cruising at super-speed by 11 months. Connor's got the best curly hair. I thought it might be gone with his first haircut, but it's still growing back curly. Connor is a crazy climber. I watched him, with my own eyes, climb up onto the kitchen counter! (Note to self: move highchair away from counter). He is a busy little guy, and leaves a trail of toys and household items wherever he goes. I can't keep up!

Isn't sad that our little boys are in kindergarten? It seems like just yesterday I was their nursery teacher!
ReplyDeleteGlad Clark's loving kindergarten. We should hang out sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteKristen! I loved seeing your update. School is a huge change for everyone. I am doing a a co-op preschool with Benton too and loving it. I am glad I get to be a part of his life just a little bit longer. Hope you are doing great!
