[cuz I think he's HOT, and he doesn't get much face time on this blog]
[so sue me for being cheesy]
So. We're living in a hotel. It's good, it's bad, it's....interesting.
The gist of it:
We were out front w/ the neighbors, when one of them asked, "What's that green sludge coming out of the side of your house?" Huh....what IS that green sludge coming out of our house???
Come to find out we had a leak in a water line. A rep from our builder came to check it out. He found the leak at about floor level behind our oven and lower cabinets in the kitchen. Apparently, it had been leaking for a long time. There was a lot of mold....ew. The water had been leaking under our floor, in our crawl space, and in the wall -- a lot of work needs to be done.
Luckily, our home is still covered under a 10 year warranty and our builder is still in business. They are covering the costs to demolish and rebuild, plus reimbursing us for lodging and food while we are relocated. A HUGE blessing.
The Plan:
1) We relocate for approx. one MONTH
2) Dow Columbia removes the mold/water damage
3) Everything dries out for a week and a half
4) A Health Company comes to check it out
5) Our builder rebuilds the kitchen - new floor, cabinets, oven, counter, etc.
Pics coming soon...once I remember to pick up my camera cord from the house.

I'm so glad its covered under warranty! I hope the next month goes by really really fast for you guys!
