Prego Update

Back when I was a lovely 11 weeks pregnant, I had a "dating" ultrasound. I was really excited to see the little peanut on the screen. I love ultrasounds. My doctor had said they wouldn't change my due date unless it showed me 7 or more days different. I wasn't worried, because I knew for SURE the date I had given them to calculate my due date in the first place was correct. How off could it be with an ultrasound? The answer...9 days. 9 days! I'm still a little baffled, but they moved my due date from July 1st to July 10th. I found out at my next appt. that I was actually only 12.5 weeks, instead of 14 weeks like I thought. Nothing like extending the first trimester.

So now here I am, 17 weeks, welcoming my second trimester warmly. I can't hide the "bump" very well anymore. Thankfully, I'm transitioning out of the awkward "you just look fat" phase. Still holding strong to my non-maternity clothes though. Thank goodness long shirts are in style. The nausea has mostly dissipated. I'm not nearly as tired as I was the 1st trimester. I'm feeling great! I've still been able to exercise every morning thanks to a friend who I can't ditch. I am embarrassed to say I didn't exercise at ALL before or during either of my previous pregnancies. I can definitely tell a difference this time around. I'm hoping it will payoff in those post-baby "get me back in my skinny jeans" days. We shall see.

I finally got my anatomy ultrasound scheduled. It's Feb. 9th...I. CAN'T. WAIT. I am dying to know the gender of this little being inside me. My guess? Boy. Reid's guess? Girl. Clark has recently changed his opinion. He used to be all about having another brother. Today he is saying "I think this time it is going to be a sister, and then tomorrow I will have another brother." I told him I only have one baby in my tummy. His reply was, "ya, i know that. (duh mom) but first I will have a sister, and then next a brother." Okie Dokie Artichokie.

Cravings: Mexican Food - mostly Taco Bell. French fries with Fry Sauce (I wish I had Burger Supreme here). Eggs - I eat them almost every morning. Cold Drinks - smoothies & cream soda as of late.
