We're mostly settled...

Brace yourselves, long post to follow...

The past couple weeks have been full of excitement. We closed on our house on the 9th (hooray!), family came into town on the 11th, i got struck with a mega cold, we got the furniture moved over on the 12th, more family came into town, Reid blessed Jack on the 14th, then we said good bye to our family (so sad), Reid caught my cold on the 15th, we finished cleaning out the apartment and turned our keys in (not sad), then finally we settled in as our little family in our new house on the 16th and Reid returned to work on the 17th. Whew.

It was so fun to have our family in town! Thank you all for making the trip! I really wish I would have taken more pictures during it all. Can you believe it? I didn't even get a single picture of Jack on his blessing day...bad mom alert. There are several contributing factors to my forgetfulness, but I won't try to justify it (at least here - ha!). I'll try to superimpose some pictures before Jack grows too big for the outfit...it was already a little snug. With that aside, the blessing was beautiful! Reid did a wonderful job dictating the blessings the Lord has is store for Jack. Jack stopped fussing when they started the blessing, and I've been told he was just grinning and cooing the whole time.

The house is awesome. It still hasn't really sunk in yet that this is our home. The time I feel the most like it's ours is when I'm pulling in and push the garage door opener. It's such a satisfying feeling. Kinda humorous I know, but hey, it's the little things that make me happy. :D Clark has already been enjoying the backyard. Even though it's small, he wants to go out there everyday....even in the pouring rain. Lucky for us, this week is supposed to be nice and sunny!

Yesterday we spent our last Sunday in our ward (sad). We held out till then because it was the Primary Sacrament Meeting Program. I just couldn't miss it - after being in the Primary presidency all year long as they were practicing for it. I am REALLY gonna miss all the children from that ward. I love them! I have had such sweet experiences being in Primary. Children are just so pure and truly Christ-like. I'm hoping I'll still run into some of them around town, since we didn't move too far.

  3. sorry you didn't get any pics of Jack in his outfit! I'm sure our musical number had something to do with forgetting, I'm sorry! But I sure am grateful that you played for us. We miss you over here, I drove into the Verandas and was sad to look over and know you weren't there!
