We have been "looking" for several months now, and we finally found the perfect home for us. The kitchen is HUGE, and wonderful (my favorite part). The timing of this home being available to us was remarkable. And what do you know, but we're buying it from some AMAZING people - our dear friends the Burts. We know we have a lot to live up to living in that neighborhood and ward, and know we won't be able to fill the void they have left - but hopefully we can come close!
This purchase comes with some incredible coincidences...or are they? Somehow we have managed to keep the Burts in our life for several years. It all started when Reid & Aaron were in the same freshman ward at BYU. After missions and marriages we ended up in the same BYU married ward. Then Aaron graduated & got a job at Intel in Hillsboro..a little while later so did Reid. We ended up in the same ward in Hillsboro! Then the sad day came when they built a house and moved out of our ward. But now we are following them once again - buying that very house, as they have moved back to Utah. Where will our paths cross next?
We will be closing on Oct. 5th and moving our stuff in shortly after as we prepare for family coming into town for Jack's blessing on Oct. 14th. I'm so excited for them to come!
Kristen! I heard from Meredith you guys were buying their house. We are sooo excited! It'll be fun to have you in the neighborhood!

If you guys need ANY help at all let me know and Matt and I will be there for sure! We're just down the street from you. Well, Matt will help with the moving part and I can help with whatever too. :) Congrats again!

ReplyDeleteKristen! I'm so glad you responded. Your new house is gorgeous! I have been doing great. My husband Jake and I just bought our first house in Franklin Idaho (just over the border from Logan) and I'm working in Juvenile Probation. I am jealous of the full time mom job, we are waiting for that next step! Are you still in touch with our great old neighborhood?

ReplyDeleteI finally am leaving a comment, even though I read your blog every time you post :) I am sad you are moving because I will miss you, BUT buying a house is the best thing ever! I am very happy for you guys! You will be in my old ward too, and it ROCKS. I loved that ward.
